PRF-Particle Processing Services

The Particle Research Facility (PRF) offers a wide range of powder processing services. The facility is a consolidation of efforts from a number of member professors and research groups from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Western Ontario. The group of engineers supporting the facility have been involved with research into powder fluidization, particle processing, crystallization, particle formation, and particle applications for more than 20 years. The knowledge accumulated from all these years of research gives PRF the superior expertise required for the most challenging needs of our customers. It also makes us the best suited facility for selecting the most appropriate and cost-efficient technology for your specific applications.

PRF is also equipped with a complete list of analytical instruments to support our powder processing services, and ensure that we exceed our quality assurance commitments to our clients. Some of our powder processing services include: powder mixing, particle size reduction, powder classification, sifting, extruding, powder coating, powder coating formulation, drug coatings, spray drying, freeze drying, and particle formation.
